New website to help us grow

New website screen grab

We are very proud of our new website, it has been a real labour of love over the last twelve months. We started with a blank piece of paper and began by asking how our very practical work could be enhanced and supported by a new website.

The result is a gorgeous looking website, with some very useful functions.

Book onto one of our community programme events.

Meet our new FarmStarters!

Aoife at Woodbank

Meet the new cohort for this year’s FarmStart programme! We welcome Aoife and B to the team over at Woodbank. We’re extremely pleased they chose to learn with us and are really excited to see what plans they make for the gardens in the next couple of years. Here they explain to us a little more about the journey they came on to join us.

Market Stall Reopens at Woodbank

Leeks and Spring Onions

We have officially restarted our regular market stall at Woodbank Community Food Hub. For three weeks running now we have sold spinach, spring onions, leeks, dried rosemary, chutney, potted plants and more, all from the site itself (or made with produce from there). The veg is harvested in the morning by our wellbeing group, and is almost all gone by the end of the day. These stalls help us to raise funds for the food hub, so we can continue to grow organic veg and provide a space for people to socialise and learn valuable skills.

Grafting Season Ends

Dan and the apple trees

As grafting season comes to a close, and all our newly grafted apple trees are planted out at our site in Glazebury, hear from Dan, one of the amazing agroforestry team members, about his journey into grafting and his ambitions to become the next best budder in town!
