The Kindling Trust are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual, with experience of project development and management, to help us develop Woodbank Community Food Hub into a thriving and more financially independent project over the next two and a half years.
The Kindling Trust works to create a fairer, more sustainable society, starting with the food system. Working alongside communities, farmers, policy makers and activists, we aim to create radical social change, addressing problems at their root cause.
We are at a crucial point in the development of Woodbank Community Food Hub (in Stockport). We have entered the 3rd year of a 5 year grant and have achieved much in a short space of time. However, as for everyone, the last 7 months have been a real and unexpected challenge. While we (and our funders) are very proud of the support that our team has been able to offer our communities during this time, we’ve been unable to open to the public or to run our planned events and activities.
We are therefore not where we’d hoped to be in our 5 year development plan. However, with the increased interest we have experienced recently, we are confident that we can get back on track - we just need the right person to help get us there.
We are looking for someone to join our team who is both strategic and practical. Someone who will work with us to plan, co-ordinate and run activities to engage more people with sustainable food. Someone with the experience and passion to build on, drive forward and deliver our ambitious plans over the next 2.5 years.
Due to the diverse nature of this project we are looking for someone with experience in developing and managing projects with a number of diverse elements.
The Kindling Trust is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We welcome applications from individuals across a diverse range of cultures, genders, ethnicities and lifestyles.
