Our annual 'Do you want to be an organic farmer?' event is back this year at Woodbank Community Food Hub on the 6th October. This event is specifically for those interested in becoming an organic grower, to find out more about our exciting FarmStart programme and learn about what it's like to be a commercial grower.
The programme leads will talk you through the challenges and joys of being an organic farmer, and everything in between. Participants of this event will have the chance to talk to each other and explore why they might want to join this course, and also have a chance to have their questions answered by our FarmStart Coordinator, Helen.
The FarmStart programme is aimed at those wanting to develop their skills in organic growing, to find out more about how to farm and grow using environmentally friendly methods, and who already have a little experience with growing produce.
