Our sister organisation, Veg Box People, are looking to recruit a passionate and hardworking person to join them for 30 hours a week, and help to grow Manchester’s food revolution.
The role itself will include lots of different jobs, from meeting the farmers and growers of the produce, to helping to pack the bags with the team, delivering them to the collection points, and helping out with general admin tasks.
The Veg Box People are at a particularly exciting time in their development. As we slowly come out of lockdown, and with their new and bigger premises, they are working to increase their activity to make organic, local fruit and veg accessible to even more communities around the city. The community shares campaign to buy Kindling Farm has recently finished, and the demand to scale up the amount of organic produce on sale is huge. Veg Box People play a vital role in meeting this demand and connecting the city to the farmers through the fresh and healthy produce they grow.
This is a really exciting chance for you to be part of a hugely positive change for Greater Manchester's food systems - if you are an all-rounder and team player looking for a job in Manchester's biggest independent organic veg box scheme then please apply.
