Tweeting About It

Its been a busy start to 2011, with one of the things we are determined to improve about Kindling this year is our profile and the way we communicate our work and progress. We believe we made huge progress in 2010, but didn't really keep people informed of all the exciting things we were doing.

Therefore this year we are going to focus on three main ways to improve communication:

  1. Firstly, we are going to continue regularly updating the Latest News section of this website (aiming to update it at least once a week). We've seen a steady increase in visitors to the site and we are now averaging three hundred unique hits a month, partly because people know they can return and read something new about our work.

  2. Secondly, we will be producing a quarterly E-bulletin. Not only does it collate together the best last news articles, it includes: information on our upcoming events; progress with our core work; what we are planning over the next three months and how you can get involved in The Kindling Trust, through volunteering etc.Last week we emailed out the first bulletin to five hundred interested groups and individuals, and we've had a fantastic response. So, if you would like to subscribe to Kindling's E- bulletin please get in touch via the Contact Page.

  3. Thirdly, we have joined the brave new world of Twitter. We have been tweeting daily about our day-to-day work and have found it really helpful to share information and stay in touch with friends and colleagues. In our first month we have attracted fifty 'followers' and hope you will consider joining us at: http://twitter.com/kindlingtrust

Finally, you may have noticed we have formally launched our Founding Supporter's appeal. We are looking for a hundred people to support our work this year and over the last two weeks twenty people have kindly signed up - Thank you so much!
