Apologies, we are aware that due to a glitch with our website/email server changeover some of our emails have been ending up in spam. If you have not recieved final details of the agenda and travel advice for Making Food Fair on Saturday 22nd November, please read on.
Venue and Directions
Firstly and most importantly for anyone who saw the original publicity material or booked early on, the event venue has been changed from Federation House to Bridge 5 Mill, the home of MERCi in Ancoats. This is due to a major central heating breakdown at the original venue which couldn’t be repaired in time. We’re really sorry for any inconvenience or confusion caused.
The MERCi building is a fascinating and unique venue (an ecologically restored silk mill on the Ashton canal) and very accessible from the city centre by tram, bike, bus or on foot. By tram it takes just 5 minutes from Piccadilly on the Ashton line. Full directions here.
Please note, the venue is only half a mile from Manchester City’s Ethiad Stadium where there is a home game being played on Saturday afternoon. There is also limited parking at the venue. So we’d strongly encourage you to use public transport rather than driving.
