Bridge 5 Mill and Kindling Trust are creating two new posts to work across our two organisations: a full-time Office Manager and a part-time Communications Officer.
We are at both a challenging and exciting time in the life of our organisations. There has never been a more important time for us to effectively communicate our vision and the opportunities we have to offer; as well as to run our offices in an organised and efficient way to make us more effective in our work for social change.
We are therefore looking for two people with the skills, enthusiasm and energy to join our teams and to support us in these areas of our work.
The role of the Office Manager is twofold. We need someone to create a welcoming space for our building users at Bridge 5 Mill and to run tight and efficient office across both organisations. This will involve responding to enquiries, managing databases and other administrative and office systems and crucially supporting our teams to implement these systems. It will also involve working with the communications officer to rebuild our events service at Bridge 5 Mill (when the situation allows).
The Communications Officer will build on and implement the communication strategies of both organisations, through a range of publicity and social media tools. As the situation allows, the role will work part time with the office manager to re-build the events business at Bridge 5 Mill. The other part of the role will be to work with the Kindling team, in the lead up to, and delivery of our Community Shares Campaign. Launching in Spring 2021, the campaign is to help us establish the Kindling Farm, the next stage of our journey to create a sustainable and fairer food system. We need someone with the experience and passion to help us make that a success.
The deadline for both posts is 5pm on Friday 13th November.
