Sustainable food initiative Feeding Stockport continues to create a space for local people and organisations to learn and share with one another. Their upcoming event is a screening of a film that promises to leave you mind blown with eye-opening stories of local communities realising the value of working together to make positive change.

Feeding Stockport’s previous meet ups this year have included speakers from Your Local Pantry in Stockport, Funding Officers from Stockport Homes and from farther afield - Hulme Community Garden Centre.

There is always the opportunity for informal discussions and sharing ideas, experiences and events of other local groups. Feeding Stockport aspires to support the growth of a sustainable food movement locally through this.

Get-togethers are generally held at Woodbank Nursery in Stockport, an urban horticulture site that supports new small-scale farmers through the ‘FarmStart’ training course, a commercial veg-growing co-operative and a community garden. It would be great to change location every now and again, so if you’d like to host a meeting at your community space please get in touch.

The film called ‘Tomorrow’ (‘Demain’ for french speakers) is being shown at the community space Seven Miles Out on the 21st September from 6.30pm. Tickets are available here.
