Feeding Manchester's 18th Birthday party

After our very successful Feeding Manchester event entitled: Making Food Fair (where we explored the challenges of and solutions to food poverty) we have been carrying out an online survey to find out people’s thought’s on Feeding Manchester’s future.

Over the last few months we have been consulting all those people who have been attending our Feeding Manchester events over the last six years and we are ready to present our findings at Feeding Manchester #18.

And we thought it would also be a great excuse to reflect on and celebrate our achievements. Since our very first event way back in June 2009, Feeding Manchester has established itself as a unique and consistent event to explore and plan a sustainable food system for Greater Manchester.

Recent achievements over the last year or so have included:

So on Friday 4th September we will be celebrating Feeding Manchester's 18th gathering, looking back at our past achievements and planning for the future. The evening will involve a presentation of the finds from our recent survey and a BBQ with bar in the canal side garden of Bridge-5 Mill in Ancoats.

The celebration will begin at 6pm with a veggie burger and at 7 pm we will be discussing Feeding Manchester's future.

The gathering will end at 9pm when we will be heading to a local pub to continue the reminiscing and planning.

The cost is £5 for burger and salad and soft drink. The bar will be stocked with beer, cider, red and white white.
