Do you have a taste for being a food hub's new cooking session leader?

Cookery Session Leader recruitment at Woodbank Community Food Hub

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual, with experience of developing and delivering community cookery sessions, to join our social prescribing team at Woodbank Community Food Hub. The role also involves working with our growers to develop seasonal recipes, find ways to use any produce gluts etc, as well as supporting the development of the Veg Box People veg bag scheme and other related work.

We are at an exciting point in the development of our social prescribing programme, More Than Medicine. Over the last two years we have worked with GP surgeries, carers support groups and community groups, to develop an innovative programme that seeks to give people control over improving their health and wellbeing, through growing, cooking and eating food in a social and supportive environment. We recently secured funding to expand this work and further our aim, of establishing More Than Medicine as an effective and sustainable social prescribing programme. We are looking for someone to help us make this happen over the next 4 years.
