As we approach World Bee Day, we are hosting a fun-filled day of family friendly activities here at Kindling Farm.

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

Bees are one of our pollinator superheroes, we couldn’t grow all our fruit & veg on the farm without them - this day is about celebrating their hard work and helping protect them for years to come!

Did you know that we have around 270 species of bee in Britain? See how many you can spot by taking part in our Pollinator Walk around the farm.

Help our bees to survive and thrive by building new habitas to take home or join us at our Seed Bomb Station to create your own wildflower mix; plant it at home to make sure bees can find food in your outdoor space.

You must register to come to this event as facilities and parking are limited; please make sure you register everyone who will be coming along on the day - thank you!

The farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs and a camping loo on the ground floor. As a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places making activities in the fields difficult for those with limited mobility. If you have any questions about access, please contact: hayley@kindling.org.uk

By registering for this event, you are booking on to the morning time slot which runs between 1.30am-4.30pm. Want to join us for the whole day? Please register for the afternoon session here

Transport Links

It's really easy travelling to the farm by public transport...

By train:
The nearest train station is Hough Green - trains from Manchester and Liverpool call here. It is a really straight forward walk along Netherley Road (B5178) to us; it takes around 30 minutes to walk.

By bus:
The number 79C runs between Liverpool and Runcorn. The bus stop is only a 3 minute walk to the farm! Bus fare is £2 each way.

By bicycle:
Use the Liverpool Loop Line to reach the farm. This green corridor is flat and almost entirely traffic-free.

To help reduce carbon emissions, why not consider carpooling?! We will send you an event reminder email ahead of the event date which will include directions to the farm.
