Event details:

Open Farm Sunday is a national celebration organised by LEAF (Linking environment and farming). On this day, farms up and down the country open their gates to the public offering people the opportunity to see how their food is grown, and how farms work. Here at Woodbank Community Food Hub we have been celebrating OFS for a few years now and it's always been a massive hit! This year, take part in a treasure hunt around the site, and get up close and personal with the wildlife hiding in our ponds. Make your very own "bug mug" insect hotel. Join some local chefs as they compete to create the best seasonal dish - ready steady cook style! Make your own herb drying rack and plant your own radishes. We will also be welcoming the lovely Stockport Beekeepers, as well as stalls from our fantastic community gardeners, our farmstart trainees veg box people, and lots of additional fun and games. Oh and did we mention our cob-pizza oven will be fired up, slinging out pizzas between 12 and 2!
