Our Open Day is a brilliant opportunity to explore our pioneering Agroforestry Farm! Take part in our Farm Walk to explore the fields and discover how our approach to farming is good for the planet, wildlife and people.

Throughout the day, you will meet our volunteer growers who will tell you what produce we have here as well as share insights into what it’s like at a working farm.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been working with Manchester-based passivhaus specialists, Progress in Practice to co-design the restoration of our farm yard buildings. As part of our Open Day, you will get a peek at our plans and have your say on the future of the farm!

This is a FREE event suitable for the whole family.

You must register to come to this event - please don’t just turn up as facilities are limited.

The farm is very easy to get to using public transport and due to limited parking on site, we are encouraging people to travel by bus or train. To help us keep track of car parking spaces, please email us ahead of time to secure a parking space. Email: hayley@kindling.org.uk

You can book a time slot between 10.30am-12.30pm or 1.30-3.30pm. Please make sure you are booking for the right time slot.

We kindly ask that you don’t bring your dogs with you.

We do not have a cafe on site but refreshments will be available (donations are welcome. Please note that we only accept cash).

The farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs and one outdoor camping loo.

This activity will take place outdoors (weather permitting!) and as a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places which makes it unsuitable for prams or pushchairs for the walk in the fields.

We suggest wearing sturdy footwear - walking boots and wellies are ideal. And of course, we never can trust the weather so it’s best to bring a waterproof!

By registering for this event, you are booking on to the morning time slot which runs between 10.30am - 12.30pm.
