Apple tree expert, Mark Simmonds returns to Kindling Farm in the new year to lead an informative 2 hour workshop exploring fruit tree aftercare and pruning.

This is a practical workshop in which you'll have the chance to practice your pruning techniques in our orchard. The trees in our orchard are small and newly planted; while there won't be much scope for practicing on older (and potentially overgrown) trees, Mark will be on hand to help answer any of your questions. For this workshop, we will be focusing on hard fruit like apples and pears.

This workshop is suitable for beginners.

Please note, the farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs. As a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places making activities in the fields difficult for those with limited mobility. If you have any questions about access, please contact: hayley@kindling.org.uk.

You must register to come to this event as facilities and parking are limited.
