Identify the sights and sounds of the birds we have at the farm by taking part in this blissful dawn chorus walk.

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

You will be guided by ecologist and long term volunteer at Kindling Farm, Andrea Sarkissian has been carrying out regular bird surveys here at the farm and will share her wealth of knowledge about the activity and habitats she has discovered.

The walk will start promptly at 8am. Join us from the earlier time of 7.30am for coffee and a sweet breakfast treat!

The cost for this event is £5 including breakfast - kids eat half price!

Please bring binoculars if you have them and a small notebook to write down your findings (we will have some here for people to use).

This activity is aimed at beginners and can be suitable for all ages. However, please be mindful that it does involve walking across uneven ground for over an hour and being quite quiet so that we don’t scare the birds away, so it might not suit everyone!

The farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs. As a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places making activities in the fields difficult for those with limited mobility. If you have any questions about access, please contact: hayley@kindling.org.uk

You must register to come to this event as facilities and parking are limited.

The number 79C runs between Liverpool and Runcorn. The bus stop is only a 3 minute walk to the farm! Bus fare is £2 each way.

By bicycle:
Use the Liverpool Loop Line to reach the farm. This green corridor is flat and almost entirely traffic-free.

To help reduce carbon emissions, why not consider carpooling?! We will send you an event reminder email ahead of the event date which will include directions to the farm.
