Come and help us out at our Glazebury site, home to our tree nursery!

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

Over the past six years, we've been raising thousands of fruit trees at our Glazebury site in preparation for our agroforestry system on the farm. With over 3,000 fruit trees donated to local community projects and 2,000 trees now successfully growing at the farm, it been a huge success. And so we are now bringing the tree nursery to a close and we have the task of removing surplus trees, tidying the site, etc., ready for its new use - that's where you come in!

We're looking for volunteers to help us dig up any remaining trees and load them onto a van for transporting to the farm and for other community groups across the region. This can be quite a labour intensive day but we'll be taking regular breaks and will provide lots of refreshments throughout the day.

Please bring a water bottle, snacks and a packed lunch as facilities are limited. It's best to bring some waterproof clothes (who knows what the weather is doing these days!) and wear clothes which you don't mind getting dirty!

The site has limited parking, and it can be a challenge getting there by public transport or bike unless you live locally. We can offer some lifts and are organising car shares.
