Experience the farm in a new way this Spring by taking part in our nature-inspired creative writing workshop!

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

Shifting Seasons is a series of creative workshops - a chance to be present and connect with our natural world by taking a moment to recognise and mark the shifting seasons. You'll explore the fields with our Community Engagement Worker, Hayley who will use creative writing exercises to inspire your writing about the wilderness around us.

No experience is required; all we ask for is a willingness to spend time outdoors (even in dull and drizzly weather!) and to give writing a go! You can write whatever you like whether it is poems, a short story or a string of words - this workshop is all about being present and using words to recognise the world around us. There will be opportunities to share your writing with your fellow scribes but it’s not essential!
This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 18+.

The farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs. As a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places making activities in the fields difficult for those with limited mobility. If you have any questions about access, please contact: hayley@kindling.org.uk

Transport Links

It's really easy travelling to the farm by public transport...

By train:
The nearest train station is Hough Green - trains from Manchester and Liverpool call here. It is a really straight forward walk along Netherley Road (B5178) to us; it takes around 30 minutes to walk.

By bus:
The number 79C runs between Liverpool and Runcorn. The bus stop is only a 3 minute walk to the farm! Bus fare is £2 each way.

By bicycle:
Use the Liverpool Loop Line to reach the farm. This green corridor is flat and almost entirely traffic-free.

To help reduce carbon emissions, why not consider carpooling?! We will send you an event reminder email ahead of the event date which will include directions to the farm.
