Join members of the Liverpool Repair Cafe in giving old, worn-out garden tools a new lease of life!

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

Broken spades? Blunt secateurs? Rake without a handle? Save your old garden tools from landfill by developing the skills (and confidence) to mend broken tools at this Repair Cafe. You’re welcome to come on the day with an item for repair or to help fix the tools we have onsite.

This is a practical workshop facilitated by members of the Liverpool Repair Cafe, a worldwide initiative which invites people of all levels to come together and collectively learn how to fix old, worn-out stuff from one another.

For this workshop, we are focussing solely on manual garden tools like spades, trowels, rakes, forks - to name a few. You can bring your own tools for repair and we will supply all the materials and parts you need to fix them - we kindly ask for a donation of £5 to cover costs.

Alternatively, we have a number of tools onsite which are in need of a new lease of life. By restoring our old tools, you’re helping us to minimise waste, conserve energy and extend the life of raw materials therefore helping us work towards a more environmentally sustainable way of farming.

This is a drop-in session; you are welcome to attend anytime between 2-4.30pm.

The farm is about to undergo refurbishment so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible at the moment. We have limited facilities with one indoor toilet which is up a set of stairs. As a working farm, the ground can be uneven in places making activities in the fields difficult for those with limited mobility. If you have any questions about access, please contact: hayley@kindling.org.uk.

You must register to come to this event as facilities and parking are limited.
