We are looking for a new Communications Co-ordinator to join both us and our sister organisations, Bridge 5 Mill and Veg Box People. The position is full time, encompassing 37.5 hours per week, and it would be primarily based at Bridge 5 Mill in Ancoats.

We are a pioneering family of organisations based in Greater Manchester who promote ecological and social justice through a broad range of activities and projects. We are at an exciting time in the life of our organisations, and there has never been a more important time for us to communicate our vision, the opportunities we have to offer and the ways people can get involved.

As our Communications Co-ordinator, you will work to put our communications strategy for the Kindling Trust, Bridge 5 Mill and Veg Box People into action. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, able to work on a variety of tasks and present our progress to the wider public.

The Kindling Trust works to create a fairer, more sustainable society, starting with the food system. Over the last 15+ years, Kindling has established and run a series of practical projects to engage people in sustainable food and farming; your role will be to promote all of our sustainable food, community and wellbeing activities, as well as to engage and support our members.

Bridge 5 Mill is Manchester's first centre for sustainable living, and it now provides affordable office space to those carrying out social action in the North West, as well as event hire spaces for a variety of clients. You will ensure that the public are aware of the mill’s purpose, as well as support its small team with furthering its social impact.

Veg Box People provides fresh, organic veg (and fruit) to Greater Manchester’s residents via a collection point service. You will support them in their plans to grow their number of collection points and increase their customer base.

The deadline to apply for this role is midnight on Sunday 23rd April. The role will start on 1st June 2023 or as soon as possible for the right candidate.
