Community Events

Community Events

We've got activities for anyone and everyone interested in gardening, cooking and good food.

We run a full calendar of events from our weekly drop-in sessions to our fun-filled community events. You can join in our workshops, attend a short course or just lend a hand with the garden. There is so much to get involved in - so come down to Woodbank and meet us!

Our events update seasonally with a Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter schedule.

Because of our Covid-19 precautions we have suspended our Autumn & Winter programme, but plan to be back in the Spring with an enhanced schedule of public events.

Woodbank Community Garden

Every week local residents are on hand to welcome you to the tranquil garden and encourage you to help with gardening.

The garden includes a polytunnel for undercover growing (tomatoes!), accessible raised beds, dozens of veg beds, a fruit cage, a small orchard, a herb garden and areas for wildlife. So there is loads to get stuck in with!

Grow, Cook & Eat

Visit our Grow, Cook & Eat page to find out how we are supporting people living in Stockport to eat better and feel better, through our health & well being  programme.

It combines growing organic veg with cookery and socialising.

To take part you need to be referred through a service which supports you with your health, well being or independence. This could be your GP surgery, a Local Authority service or an independent organisation.
