More preparation of the field beds for the next crop in this season, and join us to learn about our irrigation system too.

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

Some of our earlier crops will be coming to an end and new ones – growing in the polytunnel will be ready to go out. So more bed preparation: removing old crops, weeding, broadfolking, adding compost and laying irrigation.

The afternoon presentation will be a tour of our irrigation system, why we designed it in the way we did, the pros and cons of different watering methods, etc..

Additional information

Enter the park from the South via Park Lane. Proceed through the barrier into the park and the site is the first gate on the right.

Transport Links

Just south of Stockport Town Centre, this location has great public transport links with the number 314 bus regularly leaving Stockport Bus Station for the nearby Turncroft Lane.

Although a steep cycle from Stockport through Vernon and Woodbank Parks, there are many quiet routes to us and secure bike locking on site.

There is a large free car park just 100 m from the site at the end of Edwin Street.
