Join us for a day at Woodbank to prepare the site for the busy growing season ahead! We will be both preparing the field beds - weeding, using the 'broadfolks' to deal with compaction and adding compost to feed the soil.
We will be also setting up the 'hardening off' tables in preparation for the plants we are presently raising in the polytunnels, coming out into the spring sunshine.
At the end of the day Helen will be giving the group an update on our plans to establish the Kindling Farm.
We'll be putting up the gazebo for the summer of activities, doing bits of weeding and sorting, followed by an afternoon presentation on Health & Safety on growing sites by Chris Walsh.

Transport Links Just south of Stockport Town Centre, this location has great public transport links with the number 314 bus regularly leaving Stockport Bus Station for the nearby Turncroft Lane. Although a steep cycle from Stockport through Vernon and Woodbank Parks, there are many quiet routes to us and secure bike locking on site. There is a large free car park just 100 m from the site at the end of Edwin Street.
