An opportunity to learn or put into practice your carpentry skills making and putting up nest boxes around the farm.

Training level: Beginner
Event details:

This weekend is an opportunity to learn or put into practice your carpentry skills - and all for a very good cause as we will be making and putting up nest boxes around the farm.

Encouraging a range of birds to breed on the farm is not just beneficial for the birds, it is essential for our farming system. Organic farming relies on birds for natural pest control, so to help us keep the popution of slugs, voles, rats etc. at a manageable level we need to make the farm habitable to natural predators.

No skills are required for this session as we will have people on hand to show us the basics, but if you do have carpentry skills we would love you to come along (and to let us know before hand).

Days will run from 9.30am - 4pm and it's a great opportunity to get to know Kindling Farm and some of your fellow farm members a bit better. We will provide refreshments, a delicious hearty soup and good company!

If you are wanting to book for more than one person, please make sure you register them separately.
