A date for your diaries: It’s that time of year for the Kindling Trust’s Countryside Walk, where you can visit our FarmStart Cheshire site en-route. The walk will begin promptly at 11am on Sunday 6th August, at Abbey Leys Organic Farm (near Lymm). Happily, it also coincides with Abbey Leys monthly Farmers Market (10am-1pm) - so do arrive early for a browse! There is plenty of car parking at the farm, plus toilets and a farm shop.
The 4.5 mile walk (guided by the Trafford Ramblers group) passes through FarmStart and finishes back at Abbey Leys, with tea and some of Janet’s delicious cake. It will involve stiles, short uphill sections and some uneven ground (and possibly some cows!). We ask for a donation of £5 for the tea and cake, with any left over money going to the FarmStart project. FarmStart incubates new organic growers, and supplies our co-op Veg Box People with veg and fruit, including the strawberries you may have been tasting over recent weeks.
So come along on the 6th for a lovely walk in good company, a nosey round FarmStart and to pick up some goodies at our favourite farmers market – what more could you want from a Summer Sunday?

If you have any questions about the route please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or for general enquiries about FarmStart or the day email Helen@Kindling.org.uk. No need to book though - we'll see you there!
