Volunteer as a Team
Our Team Challenge days give you a chance to support local organic food growing in Manchester and spend a day outdoors! Your team will learn new skills, build their existing relationships, and give back to the local community at the same time. You can spend the day supporting new organic growers from our training programme or help out in the Community Garden.
We provide lunch & refreshments, all the equipment you will need, as well as insurance and you will have a co-ordinator and first-aider to support your team for the whole day.

For volunteers week, a dozen Partners from John Lewis Cheadle joined Kindling at Woodbank Community Food Hub to clear an area for a new polytunnel. It was hard work as there were a lot of weeds to pull up, but it was really rewarding to see the space totally clear by the end of the day. Partners, who wouldn't normally work with each other in-store, were able to meet and get to know each other which was great. Everyone left feeling like they had done a day's hard work and were ready for a good bath!
