Helping a Stockport school go organic

In October 2015 Priestnall School in Stockport became the first Greater Manchester secondary school to incorporate fresh, local organic veg into its menus with a pilot project involving us, Cracking Good Food and Manchester Veg People.

Cracking Good Food are adapting school menus to make them more sustainable: increasing the use of locally grown, organic veg that comes straight from the field to the plate but staying within the cost of school dinners so the price is the same for parents, even though local farmers will get a fair price for their produce.
