Stockport food producers, sellers, growers and eaters are invited to join the next Feeding Stockport network event to get inspired by the founder of Wigan's Greenslate Farm

Wednesday 26th October, 2-5pm at FarmStart Woodbank in Woodbank Park, SK1

Feeding Stockport is the network for people working in or passionate about good sustainable food in Stockport. The next event will host Mandy Wellens-Bray: Incredible Edible Wigan, Transition Network, and Co-founder of Greenslate Community Farm as guest speaker.

Mandy’s background is in agriculture and business finance with a unique blend of business knowledge, hands-on growing experience and community development. She'll be talking about the setting up of a community farm; including dealing with the local council, how the organisation is structured and financed, and the challenges and successes of the first three years. She'll also be sharing Wigan's journey towards becoming the first Incredible Edible Borough.

Attendees will also be treated to a Woodbank Farm Tour and refreshments.

Feeding Stockport get-togethers are intended to foster conversation, learning and action on a variety of sustainable food related topics. Come along and get inspired!

Register here before 21st October to confirm your attendance.
